The first link is a report I found on vimeo, published by Sky News. The report isn't perfect, but it does have a lot of strengths. First, the focus of the report is purely on the protestors. By portraying the people protesting and playing B-Roll of them, it enhances the story. The camera isn't perfect, but it captures the ruckus of the event. For the most part this report is powerful and successful due to its professional style and editing, and because of the gravity of the subject it covers, it makes the report all the more strong.
I do think that if the audio of the protestors was lowered during the narration, that could make the report even better. In addition, I didn't like the showing of the actual reporter, I thought it would be better if the focus were purely on the event.
The second link I found on YouTube. It is not as successful, in my opinion, mostly because of camera work. The footage looks extremely grainy and the frame shakes a lot. It feels like it was recorded on a phone and submitted to the news station. Also I thought the narration was a little over bearing, and nearly constant, and that it would help to hear more from the two journalists themselves.
The biggest fault in the second one was that it failed to make the story interesting from the very beginning, and I think it would be better if there were less narration, and more focus on the two journalists.
