Thursday, Sept. 20, I went to Roosevelt High School in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington, D.C. to watch an adult soccer league game. |
The first game began at 7:50 p.m., giving young D.C. professionals enough time to head down to the fields. |
Men and women of all backgrounds have signed up for these league teams, with many players playing on at least two different teams per week. |
This guy is getting in a nice pre-game stretch as he watched the first game of the night wrap up. |
The goalie from the winning team does a nice cool down stretch. |
Players from opposing teams for the second game watch and warm-up in anticipation. |
There is a lot happening on the field at league night, but it looks like everyone had a great time. |
