Wednesday's at Qdoba is half-off for students, so it's tradition around these parts. Unfortunately, the staff doesn't get paid double on half-off night.

Fialkow, Photo Assignment #3

This my first sight as I walked into the Footlocker store right off of Greenbelt Rd. It sits directly beside the glorious grocery shop they call "Giant." In each picture, I increased the hue of reds in order to create a more vibrant look, and have the most present color stand out. (WS)  

As you can see, the lonely Footlocker is...well, lonely. If you thought college-age kids would be flocking to grab the newest pair of Jordan 30s, you'd be sadly mistaken. Upon entering, I became one of four people inside the store, including two employees. (WS)

Here lies the men's fitness shoe section of Footlocker. Unsurprisingly, in this digital age, the fitness shoe draws no attention. Who wants to run outside in this frigid weather, anyway? Not me, that's for sure. Be right back, I have an Xbox to attend to. (MS)

Oh, look! An employee! We'll call her Jane Doe. Doe stalks the sideline of the kids' shoes, hoping the child that I don't have sees something he/she likes. My question: Why spend $30 on an infant shoe? It won't fit in a matter of weeks, and your Grandma can knit a mean pair of booties if you simply ask. (MS)  

Hats galore! Footlocker decided it's time to venture into the cap game. By the look of these healthy, filled racks, business ain't booming. (DETAIL)

Although Breast Cancer Awareness month was in January, Footlocker is still raising money for the great cause (true story). They call these "lifestyle kicks." Included are special edition Jordan Brand sneakers created for BCA Month. If you're going to buy marked up shoes from a retail store, you may as well do it for great cause. (DETAIL)

Jeremy Fialkow, Photo Assignment #2

This is one of my roommates, Taylor. If I were to describe him in one word, Taylor is a creature. He earned the nickname: Sloth. It's easy to see how The Sloth got his name at the crack of dawn, when he's first waking up. I increased exposure and the saturation of red's in order to make his eyes (or lack there of) and scar stand out.

Taylor the Sloth is putting on his "student face" as he prepares to leave for class.  Taylor may or may not be intimidated by his mirror image, just like my dogs! ...That's not a good thing, Taylor.

The clock strikes midnight as Taylor prepares for Second Dinner (yes, that's a thing). After a long day spending 10+ hours at Van Munching Hall preparing for interviews, all Taylor can think about is eating his grilled cheese as he ventures into Sloth-mode, anticipating a good night's sleep.
