Lang, Pre-Video Assignment
Good Video: This video from the Washington Post is really cool, and has a lot of great visuals that help to tell the story. I like how the video allowed the cartoonist to tell the story instead of the reporter. It felt more natural and made it flow seamlessly.
Bad Video: Granted, this was from three years ago. But, you can definitely tell that the reporter didn't use a tripod because the picture was very shaky, and the interview subjects were looking straight at the camera, which was just awkward. Also, I think it would have been a more comprehensive project if they had gotten a non-student perspective, like someone that manages the property.

Lang, Photo Assignment #4
A bike is chained to the outside of a building on a very rainy day.
A South Campus Dining Hall employee prepares for the day early in the morning.
I used to take pictures like this when I was 14 or 15. These are flowers in front of a window.
A man nods off while sitting on the Metro.

Lang, Photo Assignment #3
Detail shot of a snow-covered shrub after the snow on Monday.
Detail shot of the railing that leads to the building where I live.
Medium shot. Not much snow to plow.
Medium shot of a student walking to Annapolis Hall with the Memorial Chapel in the background.
Overall shot and a panorama. I like that half of this picture is the UMD campus and half is not.
Overall shot outside of Charles Hall.

Lang, Photo Assignment #2
This is Erika, my roommate. She is a sophomore psychology major.
Erika loves anything chocolate. She is enjoying this tart/cake hybrid, despite the look on her face.
Somehow Erika's hat had a hole in it and ripped.
This is Erika walking along McKeldin at night, but you can also see the hole in her hat here, before we even noticed it.
