Photo Assignment #1 Casique

On Wednesday, Sept. 7th, the Catholic Student Center (CSC) had their weekly Wednesday night dinner. The event starts at 5:30pm with a mass, which only lasts no more than 35 minutes. The goal of the event is for students to be in contact with their spirituality throughout the week and be able to eat a homemade meal, which is often cooked by the CSC staff. Here are some shots of it, all featuring the warm environment and delicious food that makes these dinners popular.

Colin Miller, a fire protection engineer, comes to WND to maintain his faith and see old friends as well as make new ones.

Ashlyn Dunn and Grace Banach share a thoughtful moment during the dinner. Both are FOCUS missionaries at the University of Maryland. Dunn has been active in the UMD campus for three years while this is Banach's second year interacting and leading students.
The Catholic Student Center is loud and busy, since the dinners are popular among students. On the first dinner of the school year, it is not surprising if at least 600 people show up to get a t-shirt and learn more about the center.

Fried chicken glistens on Kristen Miller's plate. A nursing student, Miller looks forward to Wednesdays because it features a mass service and she gets to meet with other Catholic students on campus.

Alisa Zacharia laughs while eating her dinner outside the CSC. Zacharia is a junior Economics and English double major.
