Becca King, the vice president of the University of Maryland chapter of the Society of Journalists (SPJ), helped lead and organize the chapter's annual SPJ Barbecue.
King also spoke to current and prospective members of the chapter, answering question about what the Society does and how students can become members.
King and other SPJ officers grilled and served food for over three hours.
King also enjoyed some of the food she and other SPJ officers made.
