Photo Assignment#4 Xu


  Kristin Grady Gilger and Julia Wallace come to the Philip Merrill College of Journalism to talk about their new book, "There is no Crying in Newsroom: What Women Have Learned About What It Takes to Lead."  After speech, they also have a short discussion with Kathy Best, who is the director of The Howard Center for Investigative Journalism. On Wednesday, Oct. 2, students meet for a Scottish Country Dancing class led by Howard Lasnik, a professor in the Department of Linguistics and certified Scottish Country Dance teacher. Students pair up to practice three kinds of dances. Sometimes students are laughed at their dancing.

Students and professor practice fast dancing. 



Vice President of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Georgina Dodge shares value ideas with students and staff members during CommUMDiversity. Dodge says, “The most valuable thing you have to give to someone is your attention.”
