McLaughlin, Assignment #3

14 participants are lined up to begin the men's mile race at the 2019 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 17. The meet was held at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Men's mile runners in the Patriot League Track and Field Championships on Feb. 17.  This is the fourth time the championships are being hosted at Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Maryland since the facility opened in 2008.

Jake Brophy, a senior from the U.S. Naval Academy crosses the finish line with a mile time of 4 minutes, 11.26 seconds at the 2019 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 17. Brophy’s time is within ten seconds of the Patriot League record for the men’s mile.

The White House had high security on Feb. 15, the day President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency to fund his border wall.  Protesters were only permitted across the street.
