A University of Maryland worker shoveled snow in front of the Stamp building. In exchange for taking his picture, he requested that I "include the star on the hat" first, in support of the football team.
Students gathered on the hills behind the McKeldin library for some sledding and snow day fun. Only one person came prepared with a real sled.
Many students used a variety of objects as makeshift sleds, including plastic lids, cardboard and old signs
With students sledding nearby, workers continued to put salt on sidewalks and roadways for safety.
